Tamarah's Approach to Therapy

Tamarah's therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She tailors her interventions to meet each individual's unique needs, ensuring that clients feel heard, understood, and empowered, and brings a deep commitment to client-centered care.

Tamarah's Specialties

With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, Tamarah specializes in working with adults aged 18 and older, addressing concerns including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, stress management, relationship challenges, and anger management. She has a particular interest in perinatal and maternal mental health, offering compassionate support throughout the perinatal journey — from pregnancy and postpartum to the transitions of new parenthood and beyond.

A Note From Tamarah

Pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, and identity shifts can bring feelings people did not expect. I care about making space for those experiences without judgment or pressure to be doing it perfectly.

Common Questions

You do not need to be in crisis. Many people come in feeling stuck or sensing something is off, even when life looks fine from the outside. Curiosity is enough to start.
Mostly a conversation. A chance to share what brought you in, what you are hoping for, and what kind of support would feel most helpful. No pressure to have it figured out before you arrive.
Both offer the same quality of care. Virtual therapy can be easier for flexibility, while in-person therapy may feel better if you prefer being in the room together.
It depends on what you are working through. Some people benefit from a few focused sessions. Others prefer longer-term support. There is no fixed timeline. It is shaped around your goals.
Completely normal. A free consultation is available if you'd like to ask a few questions first, but it is optional. You are also welcome to take more time before booking an appointment.
Select insurance plans may be accepted. Ask at booking to confirm whether your plan is covered for therapy appointments.
