Rebecca's Approach to Therapy

Rebecca's approach to therapy is warm, inclusive, and grounded in each client's strengths. She blends evidence-based practices — such as Trauma-Informed care, Somatic tools, DBT, Mindfulness, EFT, and Exposure-Based Therapy — with genuine curiosity and compassion. Whether someone is seeking immediate relief from a difficult season or working toward long-term resilience, she meets them where they're at and walks alongside them with care and respect, valuing a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Rebecca's Specialties

Rebecca earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Calgary, focusing on Clinical Social Work and Trauma-Informed Practice, and has worked in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community settings supporting individuals, families, and groups. Before moving into clinical practice she spent more than a decade as a Community Social Worker, and has also been a dedicated mind-body fitness instructor for over 18 years — bringing her belief in the powerful connection between physical movement and emotional healing into the way she supports her clients.

A Note From Rebecca

My work is shaped by the belief that the body, mind, and story are connected. I try to help clients listen to those connections with curiosity rather than criticism.

Common Questions

You do not need to be in crisis. Many people come in feeling stuck or sensing something is off, even when life looks fine from the outside. Curiosity is enough to start.
Mostly a conversation. A chance to share what brought you in, what you are hoping for, and what kind of support would feel most helpful. No pressure to have it figured out before you arrive.
Both offer the same quality of care. Virtual therapy can be easier for flexibility, while in-person therapy may feel better if you prefer being in the room together.
It depends on what you are working through. Some people benefit from a few focused sessions. Others prefer longer-term support. There is no fixed timeline. It is shaped around your goals.
Completely normal. A free consultation is available if you'd like to ask a few questions first, but it is optional. You are also welcome to take more time before booking an appointment.
Select insurance plans may be accepted. Ask at booking to confirm whether your plan is covered for therapy appointments.
