Paige's Approach to Therapy

Paige's work is grounded in a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach that prioritizes safety, respect, and client autonomy, meeting clients where they are while thoughtfully supporting meaningful, sustainable change. A core focus of her practice is Narrative Therapy, where clients explore the stories that shape their identity, emotions, and behaviours and are supported in re-authoring them in ways that highlight resilience, agency, and possibility. She also integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to strengthen coping skills, emotional regulation, and long-term growth, and is known for creating a calm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported.

Paige's Specialties

Paige brings extensive experience supporting adults navigating mental health concerns, substance use, trauma, and major life transitions. Her clinical background spans both hospital-based and community mental health and addiction settings, giving her a well-rounded, practical understanding of complex and overlapping challenges. At Your Counselling, she works with adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, emotional regulation, substance use, and life transitions, as they work toward stability, clarity, and self-direction.

A Note From Paige

I believe change works best when dignity stays at the centre. My role is to meet clients where they are while supporting movement that feels realistic, respectful, and sustainable.

Common Questions

You do not need to be in crisis. Many people come in feeling stuck or sensing something is off, even when life looks fine from the outside. Curiosity is enough to start.
Mostly a conversation. A chance to share what brought you in, what you are hoping for, and what kind of support would feel most helpful. No pressure to have it figured out before you arrive.
Both offer the same quality of care. Virtual therapy can be easier for flexibility, while in-person therapy may feel better if you prefer being in the room together.
It depends on what you are working through. Some people benefit from a few focused sessions. Others prefer longer-term support. There is no fixed timeline. It is shaped around your goals.
Completely normal. A free consultation is available if you'd like to ask a few questions first, but it is optional. You are also welcome to take more time before booking an appointment.
Select insurance plans may be accepted. Ask at booking to confirm whether your plan is covered for therapy appointments.
